Brian Bray

Born and raised in Western Colorado, Brian Bray is a fourth-generation Bray working in his family’s real estate brokerage, which was founded by his great-grandfather, Sherman Bray, in 1946. Brian brings to the table a vast working knowledge of real estate and the trusted name that has become the premier real estate firm in Western Colorado. Working for Bray Real Estate since 2004, Brian began his real estate career selling residential homes, farm/ranch properties, and development ground. He switched to commercial sales and leasing in 2008. He became Managing Broker of Bray Commercial Real Estate in 2016.

Responsibilities

Over the years, Brian has had the opportunity to assist his clients in asset disposition/acquisition and represent tenants of large national retailers and small main street businesses. Brian also maintains a large volume of real estate listings for his sales and leasing clients. He has experience selling and leasing commercial and industrial products, such as development land, office complexes, multifamily, and distribution warehouses. Through continued education through the CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) ® Institute and industry forums, Brian can stay on the pulse of existing and emerging market trends.

Brian also manages Bray Business Advisors Group, where he oversees a team of merger and acquisition specialists. He enjoys educating business owners in making strategic decisions to maximize the profitability of their company before selling it. He is also able to assist buyers in mitigating the risks involved in a business transaction.

Professional Background

Previous to working in the family business, Brian owned and managed his own businesses and worked in the construction industry. He is educated in construction management and graduated from Colorado Mesa University (formerly Mesa State College) with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

When Brian first joined Bray & Company, his first five years were focused on residential real estate. During this time, he gained experience with a range of properties. He also expanded his knowledge in working with small farm and ranch properties to 6000-acre mountain recreation properties. In 2008, Brian Bray transitioned his focus and efforts to the commercial division. In 2016, Brian Bray became the Managing Broker of Bray Commercial Real Estate.

Brian Bray continues to broaden his sphere of influence by actively participating in numerous organizations such as the Grand Junction Area Realtors Association, Rocky Mountain Commercial Real Estate, Grand Junction Chamber of Commerce, Realtors Land Institute, and the local Rotary Club. He often attends GJARA Government Affairs meetings and participates in various economics and energy forums. He appreciates any opportunity to broaden his knowledge of commercial real estate.

Education

Brian earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Colorado Mesa University (formerly Mesa State College) in 2001. In 2023, Brian was awarded a SIOR® designation. The Society of Industrial & Office Realtors® designation is a professional achievement for highly qualified commercial real estate practitioners with a strong transactional history in brokerage services. He is currently enrolled in IBBA®, with the goal of obtaining The Certified Business Intermediary ® (CBI) designation, that identifies an experienced and dedicated business broker.

Personal

Brian resides in Grand Junction with his wife and five children. When he is not working, he enjoys recreating in the high country of the Rocky Mountains. Whether it is sitting at 13,000 feet watching some bighorn sheep or calling in a large bull elk during the rut, Brian won’t miss an opportunity to hunt the vast expanse of the Rocky Mountain country.
