Residential Real Estate sales for $20.5M YTD in 2018 are up 10.4% compared to sales YTD in 2018 of $18.6M. Sales Taxes are up 1.4% YTD in 2019 compared to taxes collected YTD in 2018. New commercial real estate development projects include a new proposed downtown hotel for 2020 and RV Resort that is being negotiated with the City of Alamosa that is currently stalled. Economy in the local area is expected to improve once agriculture commodity prices increase.
